Sowunmi Adebayo Abdulrazaq is a passionate guardian of integrity and accountability in the financial services sector. As Head of Internal Control and Audit at Citizens Pensions, he brings over two decades of deep, cross-sector experience in financial oversight, regulatory compliance, and ethical leadership ensuring that every process reflects the trust placed in the Citizens Pensions brand.
Abdulrazaq holds a Higher National Diploma in Accounting from Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, and a Master’s in Forensic Accounting and Criminal Investigation from Saint Monica University, Cameroon. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and an Associate Member of the Portfolio Management Institute (PMI).
He has held critical roles at institutions like Trustfund Pensions, where he led internal controls, and at United Bank for Africa (UBA), where he contributed to audit processes. Beyond corporate boardrooms, Abdulrazaq has shaped minds as a lecturer at Moshood Abiola Polytechnic and Gateway ICT Polytechnic.
