
Joseph Arome Omaga
Joseph Arome Omaga brings a unique blend of analytical rigour, operational excellence and strategic foresight to his role as Head, Contributions at Citizens Pensions. He holds a degree in Biochemistry from Kogi State University, graduating with Second-Class Upper Division, and a Master of Science in Membrane Biochemistry and Biotechnology from the University of Ibadan. He is also a certified Graduate member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM).
Joseph began his career in Chemical Pathology as a Laboratory Analyst before transitioning into the pension industry in 2016 as a Contribution Reconciliation Officer. A standout performer from the outset, he was named “Best Rookie of the Year” for his adaptability and high-impact contributions.
Before joining Citizens Pensions in 2025 as the pioneer Head, Contributions, Joseph held several strategic roles at Oak Pensions Limited. These included Unit Head, Contribution Management; Unit Head, Contribution Reconciliation and Transfer Window; and Operations Project Team Lead for the unitisation of the Contribution Reconciliation Account (CRA). He led RSA Transfer System initiatives and played a key role in Oak’s core application migration from Sybase to Fundfusion Pro. He also developed and implemented internal policies, service-level agreements and standard operating procedures that enhanced contributions and collections operations.
Joseph has participated in several industry-recognised trainings, including sessions organised by the National Pension Commission, IPPIS and FITC. A respected facilitator and knowledge-sharing advocate, he is passionate about operational transformation, continuous improvement and delivering stakeholder value.
